Well, here we are at the beginning of a new week. Monday, we'll get to see the BOCC and the king "practice" their agenda for next Monday's meeting. Not sure if any "special" discussions will come about during, or immediately after the agenda is covered, however, we're ready to predict some things may happen as a result of jail difficulties and some research that we, along with many others have done over the weekend.

17 Corrections Officer On Paid Leave In Connection With Rigby Escape!

17 Officers on Leave

Osceola County, Florida – Osceola County Corrections placed 17 Corrections Officers on paid leave today, effective immediately. This decision was based on information presented in reports surrounding Michael Rigby’s escape from the jail last month.

Sad Note On First Jail Break. Corrections Officer Milton Carabello Arrested!

Below, you will find the official release from the Osceola County Sheriff's Office. Yet another dirty Corrections Officer is jailed. BUT, before everyone goes off on jail guards let's be certain of something very, very important here. The vast MAJORITY of Corrections Officers working at the Osceola County Jail, are good, decent, and hard working officers who want to do the job they've been hired to do. There is a small, (and getting smaller) sub culture of corrections people who have placed themselves above the rules, and wanting to make something extra for themselves, regardless of who might be injured, or worse by their actions.

Before we go to the lovable and always entertaining joke of the month leader, County administration, we'll go over to the "other" government in our county known as the Osceola County School Board. Yes, indeed, it sure is another government, seperate from most others within our country!
