Carlos Alberto Rosa, the dopey looking, punk inmate who escaped from Osceola's Jail has been recaptured by the Osceola Sheriff's Office on Bay Street in Kissimmee and is being brought back to the Osceola County jail.
Very briefly, we've been advised that County Chairman Fred Hawkins has called an emergency Commission meeting for 10:30AM this morning to discuss the issues at Osceola Jail. Because this is an emergency meeting, there is currently no agenda and no one is talking about what will be discussed. The king(manager) has been behind closed doors most of the morning. Hopefully, the meeting will be broadcast so all can view.
Sergeant Shultz, unfortunately, would most likely not have had another escape from the stalag. Of course, that's television but here in Osceola County, in less than a month after another escape which released a dangerous felon into the streets, another felon escaped, this time, it seems, from a recreational yard with a whole bunch of prisoners and guards, yet, as Shultz would say..."I Know Nothing!"
Yesterday is one of those days you wish you didn't ever witness. The County Commission met for 2 workshops and a regular BOCC meeting last night and for the most part showed how clearly things can be arranged ahead of time for smooth adoption, even when a small side show is happening. Yesterday's meeting showed everything from what appears to be mental incapacity to complete silliness.
