Despite the rumors being floated by an overzealous blogger, we're still among the living and ready to go! We'll begin with Osceola County's District 3, who's now STUCK with Commissioner Brandon Arrington who happens to be coming up for election and, so far, he's running for the seat he now holds. It seems he's attempting to buy votes by providing *special* events, which are paid for by ALL county taxpayers so we'd believe that just about everyone is free to attend any one of his shenanigans, OOPS, scratch that, functions. He apparently thinks the people in his district are foolish enough to not realize just what's happening, particularly in the Poinciana area, where he tries to impress folks with games and food in order to have them speak about just how wonderful he is when he actually is NOT as wonderful as he thinks he is. So many Poinciana residents have pointed out to us that they see Mr. Arrington only when he wants something. Whether it's their votes, or support for some program (like SunRail) he's there soliciting! SunRail is a fine example of Mr. Arrington's mislead political thinking. There have been numerous projects which he's voted to waste money on in support but SunRail is fast losing money and serving less! There's been a cut in hours of service and a whole lot of nothing during the weekends! Why?
Because people like Arrington have no idea in the running of, or the business end of transportation. This is quite obvious when you look at The Lynx bus service which has been around for years and management still hasn't figured how to run their lines. But they sure as heck know VERY well how to LOSE MONEY! Ummm, that's our TAXDOLLARS going down the drain, if you were wondering what that slushing sound is. Just wait until SunRail runs to Osceola. IF it does, the costs will be a tremendous hit on all of OUR taxes, and we all can congratulate Mr. Arrington and others on the BOCC for obligating Osceola County's tax dollars to SunRail BEFORE they even had a plan to fully fund their obligation! We cannot help but say this is a completely STUPID lack of planning and, as we're seeing SunRail operate now, in the areas where people actually use it, losing money and cutting service! Is this what Osceola residents deserve? Hell NO! And we're positive this is NOT what people have been asking for. To put it point blank, Arrington and his band of sheep have FAILED Osceola County! Now, he's taking even more tax dollars to spend on 'gatherings' or parties' while the majority of taxpayers are footing the bills. How much longer can District 3 afford a guy like Arrington? How much longer will the people in District 3 accept his FOOLISH ideas and FOOLISH spending of YOUR MONEY? We can only hope it will certainly NOT be much longer. Mr. Arrington is amongst the very worst of public officials! He is a bad bet to leave him on the County Commission! He's really a and an to everyone in Osceola County!
Now, speaking of those little community parties, Vivian Janer is another county commissioner who likes to spend YOUR money! Seems as though Janer, who is currently in the District 2 seat, has picked up where the guy she replaced left off in spending your money! Janer's not been shy, and when anyone listens to her they already know she has absolutely NO IDEA what leading commissioners should be doing. She has no clue of the issues of wasteful spending. How do we know? She IS a wasteful spender! She's certainly not loyal to anyone but herself, having refused to give Michael Harford a vote of confidence by electing him Chairman of the BOCC! He was a great guy while he took her around and taught her how to be a little political but would she return the favor at all? NOPE! And, don't be fooled, this county is being run by Democrats now, who seemingly aren't loyal to anyone but themselves! Janer and Grieb should be ashamed of themselves. We're not surprised by Arrington's vote, after all, he wants to play with big boys, but Harfrod is the longest serving commissioner on the BOCC who has not had his shot at the helm. Leave it to the rest of them to leave him in the dark! SHAME on all of them!
Just what is going on at the Osceola County Clerk of The Courts Office? Is the guy running the operation completely crazy? How do you justify laying off staff (NOT by seniority) and then handing out BIGChristmas bonus checks to staff remaining behind, working like dogs and being treated unfairly? It appears Armando Ramirez, the current Clerk of Court, believes he's an Emperor in the building owned by the taxpayers and NOT him. If anyone caught his TV interview with WFTV during this past week, his facial reactions showed more of an old, mob boss than of an up to date and knowledgeable Clerk of Courts. WFTV even asked other surrounding counties' Clerks if they too were providing bonuses and, of course, they were not. First, it isn't their money to simply give it away. Secondly, why were there different amounts on the checks given to certain top staff of his, from the general amount the majority received? We're sure a request to the County Finance Department will answer lots of questions as to WHO collected HOW MUCH, while Ramirez holds back the answers he should have given during the interview. He'd known about the interview two days in advance and all he had to do was have his staff provide him with the list of benefactors, along with the amounts on their checks. We can only guess Mr. Ramirez believes he's above being questioned or providing answers to questions. In fact, he could have gotten the information off his own computer IF he knew how to actually use it!
Carl may have supported his original run for office but there is no way Ramirez deserves to be Clerk of The Courts again. That office USED to be an HONEST one, now? We just do NOT know! Entertainer of the Year award goes to Ramirez for 'Acting", but as what we do not know!
This week coming provides us with the excuse to go out, get drunk, and act foolishly. PLEASE, DO NOT DRINK & DRIVE!!!
Please keep yourselves safe and well, and always know that God looks over us all!

Wow Carl. You picked on 'Don' Armando! He is the Godfather of Clerks and you better not forget it! Besides, once he's out of the office I'll bet anyone there will be some kind of investigation by the NEW and efficient clerk, whomever it turns out to be.
Been a long time since last pist.
Glad to see your back.
Exposing the Arrington and BOCC blunders on this site is not enougg. This post needs to go everywhere . This should be published in the Sentinel Gazette and all Spanish medias.
Good job Carl.
Thanks Ruben! We took some time off while regrouping and getting more focused. Hopefully, we'll continue at a better pace in '16!
Great job Carl, but the real story on the Commission is as follows.
Comm. Janer and Comm. Grieb are taking there marching orders from guess who, County Mgr Don Fisher as he has both newbies wrapped around his little fingers. That is exactly why Comm. Hartford will never get elected.
Break those bonds and he may get elected!!!
Don't mess with Armando as he thinks that he is untouchable until the real truth of his office is exposed.
Just ask Mrs. Cortes, if she will break her silence!!!!
Doesn't this blog usually go after politicians that use their power to reward those that are loyal to them? I thought that ya'll did want political favors? Really surprised me when I read that Janer owes Harford something, wouldn't that make her Harford's puppet? I thought that was frowned upon and why we like politicians that don't owe anyone for who they are and their political position.
She's certainly not loyal to anyone but herself, having refused to give Michael Harford a vote of confidence by electing him Chairman of the BOCC! He was a great guy while he took her around and taught her how to be a little political but would she return the favor at all?
WTH are you writing about lonny?
Didn't you support Janer and Grieb in the last election?
.........and he supported Rameriz and Obama. Hated Hartford (Chop Suey) now wants him as Chairman. Can you say wishy-washy? Worst than Hillary at blowing with the wind!
I can only believe the shake-up at "Carl" has a memory problem. Hartford's only job is the commission because he ran his other business into the ground. Hartford is the commissioner who wanted his OWN secretary, who wanted a DVD Projector screen in his OWN office. He totally enjoys spending other people's money. He is being treated like Jim Swan was when he served. As far as Ramirez goes, you saw the interview. He was old, tired and confused. Millie runs the office for him. He hardly ever comes out to speak with staff or even visitors. Why don't YOU find out who got more than $3,000 on his staff. We would all like to know. Grieb down't take orders from anyone. Well, maybe Patty.
