Oh, this is going to be one heck of a busy month for County Commissioners as they begin today with several special meetings, including one, just prior to the Special Assessment meeting at 5:05PM, and where they will discuss the hiring of a new Jail Director, Sherry Johnson, who will be coming from Orange County where she worked her way up in the ranks of Orange Corrections to become a very well respected Major, currently in charge of Security Operations, something Osceola sorely lacks.

For Seat 1(Mayor) it’ll be Jay Polachek vs Becky Borders, so far.

For Seat 2 it’s incumbant Tom Griffin vs Donald Shroyer and Edith Sheehan, so far.

For Seat 3 it’s Eric Dolhan vs Russell Holmes, so far.

We say “so far” because qualifying ends TOMORROW at 5PM. Anyone interested in running needs to file by then.
