We’ll just put the seats in order so you can see who is running for what.

For Seat 1(Mayor) it’ll be Jay Polachek vs Becky Borders, so far.

For Seat 2 it’s incumbant Tom Griffin vs Donald Shroyer and Edith Sheehan, so far.

For Seat 3 it’s Eric Dolhan vs Russell Holmes, so far.

We say “so far” because qualifying ends TOMORROW at 5PM. Anyone interested in running needs to file by then.

We know it’s about time with a new blog and we have no excuses. Health issues continue to dominate at least one of us making the load for the other a little heavier. BUT, we’re both back today so we’ll write this before one of us has to depart!
This past Monday was an interesting “Retreat” held by the Osceola Commission. Can you say “same old, same old?” In the discussion department we heard about the county’s financial woes including the always popular idea of consolidation of services with the two cities. Commissioner Smith even pointed to, what he called, successes like the Toho Water Authority(did you see the new and higher rates?), and way, way back when the library became under the county and others.
