Anita Louise Smith identified as female shooting victim in St. Cloud

Osceola, Florida - Osceola County Sheriff’s detectives have identifed the female victim in this morning’s shooting as Anita Louise Smith, 59, of St. Cloud, Florida.

The male victim remains at Orlando Regional Medical Center in critical condition at this time.

Deputies are still looking for two males who are at large and possibly armed and dangerous.

This is an on-going investigation. More information will be released by the Sheriff’s Office as it becomes available.

Calls made to Crimeline remain anonymous, and tips that lead to the felony arrest of suspects and/or the recovery of stolen property and drugs are eligible for cash rewards of up to $5,000 dollars.


This morning at approximately 2:22 a.m., Osceola County Sheriff’s deputies responded to 5625 Lake Lizzie Drive in St. Cloud. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a deceased female and another male victim seriously injured.

The male victim was airlifted to ORMC with life threatening injuries. Deputies are currently investigating this incident as a shooting and are looking for two males who may possibly be armed and dangerous.

A reverse 911 message was sent to residents in the area to make them aware of the incident and to ask them to report anything suspicious.
