Osceola County (January 4, 2016) – Osceola County Sheriff's detectives need the public's help identifying a suspect involved in an armed robbery. The investigation began on January 1, 2016 at approximately 3:00 p.m. when deputies responded to a neighborhood in Poinciana. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the victims who indicated they were walking in the area of the Darby Drive.
They had their 6-month old daughter with them in a stroller. An unknown black male approached them and asked for marijuana. The victims told him they did not have any and continued walking. A few minutes later, the victims heard a noise and saw the suspect holding a gun. He pointed the gun toward the baby and demanded their cell phones. The suspect fled the area with the victims' cell phones.
He was last seen running towards Marigold Avenue.
The victims describe the suspect as a black male in his 20's, approximately 6'0” tall with short dreadlocks. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, dark colored sweatpants and Jordan slippers with socks.
