Osceola County Sheriff's deputies arrested Wesley Mesilien and Kareen Carson Carter and charged them with Unoccupied Burglary, Grand Theft Auto, Aggravated Fleeing and Eluding, Grand Theft and Criminal Mischief.
Osceola County – The investigation began on August 20 at approximately 9:25 a.m. when deputies responded to 338 Sherborne Lane in Kissimmee. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with a witness who indicated two juveniles entered the residence then left the area in a blue Suzuki Forenza which belonged to the homeowner and was parked in the driveway.
When deputies entered the residence, they discovered several items missing including televisions and electronic equipment.
On August 14, Osceola County Sheriff's detectives arrested Robert Kevin Britt and charged him with 10 counts of Child Pornography.
Osceola County (August 15, 2012) – The investigation began when Polk County Sheriff's detectives conducting an undercover Internet operation identified Britt as a suspect using the Internet to traffic or distribute child pornography images.
Polk detectives contacted the Osceola County Sheriff's Office when they discovered his residence was located in Osceola County.
Osceola County detectives obtained a search warrant for his residence and seized several computers and electronic devices that were located in Britt's bedroom.
Detectives processed the devices and found at least 10 child pornography images. During the course of the investigation, detectives learned Britt formerly worked for the Pensacola Police Department as a school resource officer, was affiliated with the Explorer Program, and as a patrol officer.
He was also a volunteer for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Central Florida.
Detectives made contact with the organization, and at this time, do not have evidence any of the child images are related to that agency.
On August 14, Britt was taken into custody and interviewed by detectives. Based on his statements and the evidence discovered during the investigation, he was arrested and booked into the Osceola County Jail.

Osceola County Sheriff's deputies need the public's help in locating a 12-year-old missing endangered juvenile.
Osceola County - Christine Benjamin was reported missing at approximately 12:00 a.m. this morning. According to her family, Christine was last seen July 17 at approximately 9:00 a.m. at her residence located on Cherry Branch Court in Poinciana after having an argument with a family member.
Christine is described as a black female, approximately 5'2” weighing 100 lbs. with black hair, brown eyes and a chipped tooth. She was last seen wearing a green and white t-shirt and a black skirt. Christine's family indicates she is bipolar with a mental capacity of an eight-year-old and is without her medication.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Christine is asked to call the Osceola County Sheriff's Office at (407) 348-2222 or Crimeline at (800) 423-TIPS (8477). Calls made to Crimeline remain anonymous and, tips that lead to the felony arrest of suspects and/or the recovery of stolen property and drugs are eligible for cash rewards of up to $1,000 dollars.
Osceola County Sheriff's detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying a sex battery suspect.
Osceola County (June 26, 2012)-- On June 25, Osceola County Sheriff's deputies took a report regarding a possible sex battery.
According to the female victim, on June 24 at approximately 4:30 a.m. she was leaving her job at Smokey Bones Restaurant located at 2911 Vineland Road in Kissimmee.
As she was walking toward the bus stop, an unknown male approached her from behind and held a gun to her back.
He told her to keep walking and directed her to the west end of the Rock Church where he sexually battered her prior to leaving the area on foot.
The victim describes the suspect as a Hispanic male, approximately 30 years old, 6'0” tall and 180 lbs. He speaks English with a slight Spanish accent.
